Carlos Vives and La Provincia playing La Celosa like a papayera.
This friday I went to see Carlos Vives in concert at Sunset Station in San Antonio. I went with my sister, Sandrita, Juan Fernando, Nestor Ceron, Claudia, Paula and Leslie. I also met a lot of people I know over there like Alejandro Asenjo or Andrés Salvador. The place wasn’t too crawded, about 100o people, mostly from Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and México.
I saw lots of colombian soccer jerseys (national team, junior, union magdalena), lots of ‘sombrero vueltiao’ and lots of colombian flags.
So lets talk about the concert. It was amazing. Vives and La Provincia gave it all in the stage. They sing for about 2 hours, mixing the songs from the new album with some oldies. The song I enjoyed the most was ‘La Celosa’ when the band got toghether in front of the stage, and performed as a ‘papayera’ group. It was awesome. Some of the songs they played were:
– Fruta fresca
– Carito
– Voy a olvidarme de mi
– Como tu
– Que tiene la noche
– La fuerza del amor
– El rock de mi pueblo
– El amor de mi tierra
– Déjame entrar
– Que diera
– La celosa
– La gota fria
– El duro el original
– Pa’ Mayte
Check my pictures here. Also check this set of pictures a guy posted on flickr. They are very good pics.
