I won $1000 for Colombianitos.org

At National Instruments we have this campaign called 'Community Connections' which encourages employees to donate time and resources (money) to the community. So for the past two years I've been donating money to COLOMBIANITOS.

(Little Colombians) is a non-profit organization that helps Colombian children who have been victims of terrorism and violence that has affected Colombia during the last 40 years.

The 2004 Fall giving campaign started last monday and they added a new incentive:

By making a monetary donation to the campaign this year you will be eligible for a daily incentive. Each workday during the campaign we will draw one donor's name and NI will give $1,000 to the charity of their choice. Fifteen lucky donors will have the opportunity to positively impact their charity with an additional contribution from NI. Donate early and improve your odds!

Guess who had an email in his inbox this morning with the title: Congratulations – You Won the $1,000 Fall Giving Campaign Incentive for November 2nd!

AWESOME!!!

=)

At least I got some good news this morning, because knowing that Bush got re-elected makes me wanna puke… =(
