ACL 2007 wrap up

You gotta love Austin. The festival this year was great.
I arrived with my friend Luis on friday around 4:30pm and the first band we saw was Queens of the stone age. I had already seen them two years ago when they opened the NIN concert in San Antonio and I really liked [...]

August update

Blogs turn very lame when you dont post regularly. Recently I haven’t had anything exciting to write about, so my blog has been falling into the lame category. This post is just to summarize some of the things I have been doing recently or that I’m going to be doing in the near future.

Welcome Ana Laura

Tonight is my birthday. I’m turning 29… I’m getting old but I don’t feel it… I still feel like I can do whatever I want. At the end, age is a mental thing and not so much a physical thing (err… sure). Anyway, Colombian soccer national team got beat REALLY bad tonight… I mean REEEEAAAAAALLLLY [...]

I just got back from an amazing concert by Manu Chao at Stubbs. Lucia got an extra ticket and asked me if I wanted to buy it. The tickets were selling for $70-150 on craigslist so I was thinking of not going.

This year I went to see the wednesday show at Opal Divines with a good performance by La Gusana [...]

The Shins at Bee Cave!

The Shins concert at the Backyard was amazing. I only started listening to them a few weeks ago when I was invited to the concert but I must say that I’ve become a fan. You have to see their videos at their website, specially the Interview 2003 one, its really funny.
What really made the night [...]

Requiem

Last night I went with Lucia to see an amazing show called Requiem perfomed on an abandoned building that Intel was building a few years ago, but never finished it.
The show is very beautiful and dramatic and it has great music and lights. I highly recommend seeing it. I think tonight is your last [...]
